Analysis, part 11h - Left Chest Pocket, Zipper Height (ladies)

The ladies' zippers, on the other hand ... well again, just see for yourself!

Overall, the ladies' left chest pocket zippers were quite a bit shorter than the men's, but they still varied wildly.

Captain Hernandez's zipper, for example, was very short, appearing to be no more than 3" tall:

Crewman Cutler's zipper appeared to be in the same neighborhood as Captain Hernandez's:

Sometimes the ladies' left chest pocket zippers were about 3-4" tall:

Hoshi's left chest pocket zipper appeared to be about 4" to 4 ½" tall (also keeping in mind that it didn't extend upward as far as many other uniforms' did, especially the men's):

We observed several other female ENT jumpsuits' left chest pocket zippers in the 4-5" range as well:

Others appeared to be a bit taller, perhaps 5":

And others were really, really tall!

So yet again, was there a ideal standard left chest pocket zipper height and positioning?

Based on the available evidence, the most we can deduce regarding the left chest pocket zipper is:

1 - The men's zippers were usually 5 ½" to 6" tall.

2 - The men's zippers were generally positioned such that the centermost edge of the zipper was ½" outward from the centermost edge of the pocket, and the top of the zipper was ½" beneath the upper edge of the pocket.

3 - The women's zippers were generally shorter than the men's, usually 3" to 5" tall.

4 - The women's zippers were generally positioned such that the centermost edge of the zipper was ½" to 1" outward from the centermost edge of the pocket, and the top of the zipper was ½" to 1 ½" beneath the upper edge of the pocket. (How's that for a wide range?!?)

Again - we can't emphasize this enough - these are only loose recommendations!
