Analysis, part 11j - Left Chest Pocket Summary

In summary, the ENT jumpsuit left chest pocket was an expanding pocket, with its upper edge flush with the bottom of the division stripe and its centermost edge equidistant from the jumpsuit's center front.

It extended all the way into the armscye, but not the side seam; its side edge was slightly diagonal (with the upper side edge being slightly farther away from the side seam than the lower edge).

The perimeter of the pocket was edge stitched to fasten it to the jumpsuit, with the centermost edge of the pocket folded in on itself to form the expanding pocket. The uppermost 1-2" were edge stitched again to secure it.

A row of topstitching ¼" from the upper and lower edges of the pocket embellished and further secured it to the jumpsuit body.

The pocket's vertical zipper placement varied wildly, but on the male uniforms it was usually ½" from the upper and centermost edges of the pocket; on the female uniforms it was usually ½" to 1" from the upper and centermost edges of the pocket.

The zipper height varied considerably, but on the male uniforms it was typically 5 ½" to 6" tall, while on the female uniforms it was usually 3" to 4 ½" tall.

The perimeter of the zipper itself was edge stitched.

At least this pocket was actually (sometimes) usable, though!

Here's what the overall edge stitching/topstitching technique looked like on the finished pocket:
