Analysis, part 13c - Waist Straps, Fastening and Topstitching

The waist straps were edge stitched and topstitched in a similar manner to the collar, sleeve cuffs, and leg cuffs (more on the latter two later); that is, they were edge stitched, and in addition to the edge stitching, there were three parallel, horizontal rows of topstitching ¼" apart.

The fronts of the waist straps were folded under about 1" before being attached to the jumpsuit.

The waist straps were fastened to the jumpsuit by edge stitching again, but only on the front of the jumpsuit!

The waist straps were sewn down (vertically) at the sides and the backs left "floating."

The vertical fastening topstitches were near-impossible to discern on screen, although their effect was observable.
