Analysis, part 16a - Right Thigh Pocket, Shape and Positioning

Like the chest pockets, the right and left thigh pockets were similar but not identical.

We'll take a look at the right thigh pocket first.

The right thigh pocket was rectangular (more trapezoidal for the ladies - more on this later when we look at the left thigh pocket), and we already examined its vertical placement.

The centermost edge of the pocket vertically aligned with the centermost edges of the right chest pocket and waist straps.

Like the chest pockets, the outer/side edge of the right thigh pocket didn't extend all the way to the side seam.

However, the actual distance from the side seam to the outer edge of the thigh pocket varied - big surprise!

Archer's appeared to be about ½":

Reed's appeared to be about the same - that is, ½" or so:

However, while the side/outer edges of Archer's and Reed's thigh pockets appeared to be consistently parallel and equidistant to the jumpsuit's side seam, Trip's did not.

Observe that the upper right (picture left) of Trip's right thigh pocket appeared to be about ⅜" from the side seam and, moving downward, the pocket edge gradually curved away to about ¾" and back again, finally "landing" at about ½" at the bottom.

Travis' pocket was similar to Trip's, except it was much closer to the side seam; it looked to be about ⅛" away at the upper and lower side corners but about ½" away from the side seams at its farthest point away.
