Misc. Observations and Errors, part 6

We noticed a number of peculiarities about Archer's ENT jumpsuits over the years (some of which we mentioned during the main body of our analysis, some of which we'll mention here, and some of which we'll mention later).

Interestingly, as the show was beginning, Archer's ENT jumpsuit had what appeared to be little latches to hold his zipper pulls in place.

We never saw these pulls on-screen after the pilot (although that doesn't mean they weren't around longer - just that in the course of our research we never saw them again).

Archer's zipper pull fasteners were probably intended to keep the zipper pulls secured in their resting place and prevent them from flopping around, such as during this scene from the fourth season episode, "Cold Station 12" (hint - look at his left chest pocket):

Speaking of Archer's ENT jumpsuit, we got a quick (inadvertent) glimpse at his costume's tag during "The Andorian Incident":

Oh, and speaking of Archer's ENT jumpsuit in "The Andorian Incident," it appears that somebody accidentally made his jumpsuit's right sleeve cuff with the denim "right side out":

Note the strong diagonal weave easily visible on the sleeve cuff, as opposed to the smoother, slightly fuzzier sleeve fabric.

Unfortunately, (at least one of) Archer's ENT jumpsuit(s) throughout the first season had distractingly uneven back division stripes.

Note how much lower the right division stripe went than the left one.

Lastly (for now) regarding Archer's ENT jumpsuits, for some reason, his leg cuffs were backwards!

At least, his left one was, both on his season one and later blue jumpsuits; rather than the cuff overlapping front-to-back, it overlapped back-to-front.

Believe us, we know it's easy to make a mistake constructing an ENT jumpsuit, and we can only imagine trying to make dozens and dozens of them under the TV grind.

But what doesn't make sense is why the same mistake would apparently be made again on the same uniform almost two years later; we never saw another ENT jumpsuit with backwards leg cuffs. (That doesn't mean there weren't any, just that we never came across any in our research.)

The alternative is that this was an intentional design choice for Archer's ENT jumpsuit, but ... why, then?

We'll come back to Archer's ENT jumpsuit later in context of some other misc. observations and errors.
