Analysis, part 10c - "Pencil Pocket," Placement and Height

Naturally, the actual height of the "pencil pocket" and its corresponding placement varied considerably, too ...

Note that the top edge of Travis' "pencil pocket" was approximately 1" beneath the zipper, so that the zipper was equidistant between the top of the right chest pocket and the top of the "pencil pocket."

However, Trip's "pencil pocket" appeared to only be about ¾" beneath the bottom of the zipper, as did Reed's: 

ENT, 2x18 "The Crossing"
ENT, 4x15 "Affliction"


The top of Archer's "pencil pocket" was a mere ½" or so beneath his zipper, as was Captain Hernandez':

The lower end of the "pencil pocket" in relation to the rest of the right chest pocket varied even more! 

The bottom of Archer's "pencil pocket," for instance, appeared to be almost 4" from the bottom of his chest pocket.

The bottom of Trip's "pencil pocket" appeared to be about 3" from the bottom of his chest pocket.

The bottom of Hoshi's "pencil pocket" appeared to be about 2" from the bottom of her chest pocket.

Aaand the bottom of Travis' "pencil pocket" appeared to be about 1" from the bottom of his chest pocket.

So, again, regarding an ideal standard for the "pencil pocket" dimensions, we can only say, "Whatever you think looks best on you!"
