On the back of the ENT jumpsuit was an elastic waistband, which spanned from the side seams across the back.

Using the 1" waist straps as a visual reference, the waistband on the men's uniforms appeared to be 2".

On the ladies' ENT jumpsuits, though, the back elastic waistbands appeared to be smaller, about 1 ½":

The waistband channel was fastened to the jumpsuit body via edge stitching along its top and bottom.

Also note that the waistband channel (and presumably the elastic) was sewn into the side seam.
The amount of gathering in the back varied amongst the cast and uniforms, but we do know that the elastic waistband did stretch as needed.
