Analysis, part 6 - Front Alignment

On the ENT jumpsuit front, the centermost edges of the pockets and waist straps were all aligned and typically equidistant from the center front.

We say "typically equidistant" because sometimes the front alignment appeared to taper inward slightly toward the waist, resulting in a slimming effect on the wearer:

Some of this may be an optical illusion, as when worn slightly unzipped (as they always were), the ENT jumpsuits naturally pulled away some from the center front at the chest and shoulders.

However, on the Archer example above, it does look to us like the front alignment was tapered a little bit.

The tapering seemed to be the exception rather than the norm (if it even was a real technique at all and not merely an optical illusion); other ENT jumpsuits we observed all appeared to have vertical alignments:

Note that the distance from the center front to the centermost edges of the pockets/straps varied amongst the characters; Captain Hernandez's pockets and straps appeared to be about 2" from center front:

Hers was the narrowest distance we observed, though; the other characters' appeared to be in the neighborhood of 3" (including Hoshi, implying that Captain Hernandez's was the exception to the norm as opposed to a differing standard between the two genders).

As you can see, the other characters' centermost edges of their pockets/straps appeared to be approximately 3" from the center front (except Archer's, which, as we pointed out, appeared to taper inward somewhat at the waist):

NOTE: On our ENT jumpsuit pattern, the centermost edges of the pockets and waist straps are 3" from center front. However, if you wish to adjust this distance, simply extend or reduce the centermost pocket/strap edges by the appropriate distance.
