Analysis, part 24a - Sleeve Cuff, Shape and Tautness

The ENT sleeve cuffs were similar in design and construction to the collar, which we previously examined, with the main difference being that the sleeve cuffs were entirely rectangular and the collar was curved.

The sleeve cuffs varied a bit in tautness; note that Reed's and Travis' were noticeably looser than Archer's:

As mentioned previously, the sleeve cuff assembly was sewn onto the already-hemmed sleeve. 

Impressions of the bottom of the sleeve could occasionally be seen on the right side of the sleeve cuff.

Like the collar, the sleeve cuff was comprised of a "shell" piece and a facing, with all edge stitching and topstitching being sewn through both layers.

However, unlike the collar, the sleeve cuff had a self-facing, meaning it was cut as one large piece which was simply folded in half prior to being attached. 

Note the lack of a seam line along the bottom of the sleeve cuff:
